About The Position

The RHS Program Director will lead the efforts of assigned RHRC programs, with primary responsibility for administering technical assistance (TA) efforts delivered within the Cooperative Agreement. This role involves overseeing the cooperative agreement in partnership with the RHRC grant administrator, assisting with legal agreements, and serving as the primary contact between the RHRC, HRSA, technical partners, and stakeholders. The Director will oversee workplan activities, including stakeholder engagement, application processes, and TA plan development and implementation. Key responsibilities include identifying, prioritizing, and selecting rural hospitals, developing monitoring processes for TA activities, building relationships with participant hospitals and communities, and leading agenda preparation and coordination for project meetings. The role also involves leading programmatic webinars and presentations, providing leadership and support to new and other assigned programs, and attending various project-related and team meetings.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5 years of healthcare leadership experience, preferably in a rural setting
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing large-scale initiatives that involve multiple groups of stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to learn and grasp new concepts quickly.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive work culture.
Must have reliable internet and experience working remotely.
Proficiency with Microsoft office.
Willingness to travel

Responsibilities

Lead the efforts of the assigned RHRC programs with primary responsibility for administrating the technical assistance (TA) efforts delivered within the Cooperative Agreement.
Oversee the cooperative agreement in partnership with the RHRC grant administrator resource, ensuring all requirements are met.
Assist with the execution of appropriate legal agreements across technical partners and TA recipients.
Serve as the primary lead contact for the RHRC between itself, HRSA, technical partners, and all project stakeholders.
Oversee the execution of all workplan activities including stakeholder engagement, application processes, and TA plan development and implementation.
Lead the identification, prioritization, and selection process of rural hospitals
Lead the efforts to develop an effective monitoring process of TA activities to ensure compliance with the grant contract and reporting requirements
Build and maintain relationships with participant hospitals and communities.
Lead initiatives specific to agenda preparation and coordination of project meetings.
Assist with other areas of program execution as may be needed but not yet identified.
Lead programmatic webinars, presentations, and conversations, in alignment with leadership guidance.
Provides leadership and support to new programs, as assigned.
Provides support to other programs at the request of the Director of Programs
Attend RHRC standing weekly project-related meetings
Attend bi-weekly RHRC team meetings
Attend other meetings as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
