About The Position
Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York, is seeking a BC/BE Rheumatologist to join their staff. This is an opportunity to join an established group of 2 Rheumatologists and practice within an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region. The clinic is fully supported with skilled nursing, including dedicated infusion nurses and a nurse coordinator for triage. Office staff provide substantial patient support, including 100% support for prior authorizations. The position offers teaching opportunities with house staff and medical students, and support for clinical research. There is limited call and minimal travel involved. Bassett Healthcare Network is a progressive academic health system and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Requirements
- MD, DO or MBBS
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Completion of an accredited USA Rheumatology Fellowship
- New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS Certification Required
- DEA Required
Responsibilities
- Join an established group of 2 Rheumatologists
- See a wide variety of diseases represented among patient population
- Teaching opportunities working directly with house staff and medical students
- Support for clinical research, including nursing, statisticians, and people expert in study design
