About The Position

Rheumatology Physician opportunity in Santa Fe, NM. This is a full-time, 1.00 FTE position. The role involves making all professional medical judgments in the care of patients, managing the physician/patient relationship, and participating in system-wide health management initiatives. The physician will also provide input into practice site operations, assist in developing clinical standards, resolve patient complaints, and participate in provider recruitment. Continuous professional growth is encouraged through educational programs and literature review. The role also includes consulting with other providers on rheumatologic disorders and performing other required functions.

Requirements

• M.D/DO.
• Board eligible or certified in Rheumatology.
• NM License Required

Responsibilities

• Makes all professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen.
• Manages the physician/patient relationship.
• Participates in systemwide health management initiatives.
• Provides input into the practice site s financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
• Assists in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards.
• Receives and resolves patient complaints.
• Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops.
• Consults with and advises other providers regarding optimal and cost effective treatment of patients with rheumatologic disorders.
• Performs other functions as required.
