About The Position

The RHEL Network Management Systems (NMS) Engineer designs, deploys, administers, and supports enterprise network management infrastructure. The role combines Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 back-end operations with application-level administration of NMS tool suites, ensuring the platform is available, optimized, and security-compliant for network monitoring, fault detection, and performance management. The engineer provisions and maintains RHEL 8 servers across physical, virtual, and air-gapped environments; tunes systems for high-volume telemetry and configuration data; manages security updates and vulnerabilities; automates operations; enforces security policies and STIG compliance; and manages storage for NMS databases and syslog. The role also supports enterprise NMS applications, integrates monitoring systems with asset databases and ITSM platforms, and configures polling, telemetry, alerting, and notification capabilities.
