About The Position

We are seeking a Red Hat Linux System Administrator who would be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Cameo systems in an AWS environment, maintaining the integrity and accessibility of all server resources, hardware, systems, and key processes. This position is fully on-site in either Warrenton, VA or Fort Washington, MD - ACTIVE TS/SCI is required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Red Hat Systems Administrator
  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) command line
  • Familiarity with XRDP
  • Knowledge of image creation and deployment of a virtual desktop
  • Understanding of managing multiple users’ sessions or a basic understanding of sessman in a virtual desktop environment.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Cameo NoMagic preferred
  • Working knowledge of JIRA Preferred, but Not Required
  • RHCSA preferred, not required
  • IAT Level II Security Certification (e.g., Security + CE, CISSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCN) preferred, not required
  • AWS Certification or Experience preferred, not required
  • Bachelors with 3+ years of experience managing virtual/physical servers and LAN/SAN networked environments preferred
  • DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and maintaining the Cameo systems in an AWS environment.
  • Maintaining the integrity and accessibility of all server resources, hardware, systems, and key processes.
  • Self-starting and able to provide guidance/mentorship to junior administrators.
  • Create and document the framework of technical standards and procedures.
  • Support the engineering team in solutioning, engineering and system administration tasks.
  • Monitor system health and performance and ensures high availability of the system.
  • Help maintain overall product quality by working closely with PM and government technical lead to understand and use essential tools for handling files, directories, command-line environments, and documentation.
