RFP Proposal Manager

About The Position

This role is responsible for creating professional RFP deliverables and enhancing the win rate of assigned projects. The RFP Proposal Manager will work independently with Project Owners, the RFP Director, and other RFP Unit Associates. Key responsibilities include managing RFP projects in Loopio, creating project-specific timelines, conducting kick-off calls, and utilizing Loopio features to draft responses. The role also involves providing feedback on user experience strategy, collaborating with cross-functional partners, supporting creative content upload with the Technology Platform Manager and design team, and maintaining RFP content. For a Team Lead, this role includes managing and training other Proposal Managers and RFP Team members. The position requires identifying and enhancing service workflows for efficiency and improvement.

Requirements

Knowledge of insurance industry (benefits and/or property/casualty) required – generally obtained with at least 3 years experience
Emphasis on either employee benefits or property and casualty lines of business
Knowledge of successful win strategies and proposal management protocols
Experience working with Lockton or similar employer strongly preferred
Outstanding communications skills: Facilitating and leading meetings and training in person and virtually
Outstanding communications skills: Writing professional, accurate, and grammatically correct content for RFPs and presentations
Outstanding communications skills: Proofreading
Outstanding communications skills: Collaborating and consulting with team members and other Associates to enhance favorable outcomes for each project
Outstanding communications skills: Maintaining tight timelines and effectively encouraging adherence with others
APMP certification preferred and encouraged

Responsibilities

Work independently with Project Owners, RFP Director, and other RFP Unit Associates to create professional RFP deliverables and enhance the win rate of assigned projects
Load RFPs into Loopio and manage assigned RFP projects
Create project-specific timelines
Assist with and conduct designated kick-off calls to initiate new projects
Utilize Loopio “Magic” to create suitable draft responses
Provide feedback and recommendations to RFP Director and team to establish best-in-class user experience strategy
Demonstrate the ability to communicate both effectively to cross-functional partners and executives
Assist with training for RFP users
Work with Technology Platform Manager to support creative content upload, review cycles, timelines, and design
Work with design team for efficient collaboration and appropriate support of design process
Create and maintain content for RFPs, finalist presentations, and other deliverable for access in Loopio and other designated internal tools by working with SMEs, monitoring Workplace, and collaborating with other team Associates
Support the integration of Loopio and other Lockton resources where appropriate
Assist with meeting overall team objectives to identify and enhance service workflows that can be streamlined and/or improve
Manage and provide training and feedback to other Proposal Managers, and RFP Team members to enhance efficiency and professionalism of Unit and provide consistency across projects (for Team Lead role)
