About The Position
The RFID Lab at Auburn University is seeking motivated, detail-oriented students from various disciplines to conduct RFID in-store testing and audits. This role involves significant fieldwork at local partner locations, including RFID tag audits, barcode audits, and RFID cycle counts. Requirements
- Enrolled student at Auburn University
- Must have reliable transportation to and from partner locations outside of regular business hours
- Must have the ability to work weekends and weekday evenings
- Technically capable with ability to quickly become familiar with new hardware, software, and processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform data collection tests to investigate the performance of large-scale RFID deployments.
- Conduct RFID tagging of items in a retail environment.
- Perform tests with an RFID reader to determine the quality and readability of tags.
- Conduct in-store barcode/inventory audits.
- Participate in in-lab demonstrations and testing when necessary.
- Occasionally travel to partner locations outside of the Auburn/Opelika area.
