About The Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented and safety-conscious RFID Finishing Operator to set up and operate RFID machinery and related finishing equipment. This role requires operating multiple machines including RFID insertion and encoding equipment, tabletop rewinding/backprint systems, and thermal transfer printers. While RFID experience is preferred, we welcome candidates with general machine operation or thermal transfer printing experience and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience operating production machinery
  • Basic math and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable reading work orders, job specs, and operating instructions
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
  • Self-starter who works well independently or in a team
  • Strong communication and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and manual dexterity
  • Occasionally required to sit, bend, kneel, or crouch
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Good vision, including color recognition and depth perception

Nice To Haves

  • RFID experience is preferred
  • General machine operation or thermal transfer printing experience
  • Experience with thermal transfer printing or finishing equipment is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Label Traxx, NiceLabel, or similar label software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review and execute daily production orders to meet customer requirements
  • Set up and operate RFID finishing machinery, including Inlay Insertion Machines (e.g., IL15000), Printronix Encoders, and Tabletop Rewinders with Backprint capability
  • Run thermal transfer printers and ensure accurate label formatting and output
  • Ensure proper inlay registration and RFID encoding accuracy
  • Adjust machines to maintain quality, efficiency, and accuracy throughout production
  • Perform final inspections, count overruns, and prepare labeled samples
  • Record setup time, run time, cleanup, quantities, and special job notes in production logs
  • Keep all equipment clean, organized, and running in peak condition
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Report production issues or equipment concerns to the supervisor promptly
  • Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned
