About The Position

Texas Instruments is looking for a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, equipment improvements, equipment upgrades, and equipment installation. You will interface and communicate with engineering and manufacturing groups across the fab to ensure all issues are solved appropriately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • 2 years of semiconductor experience as Technician OR 4 years of non-semiconductor/military Technician experience
  • Ability to work 12 hour compressed work schedule
  • Flexible to work day or night shift that will include one weekend shift and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) system performance to meet process requirements and maximize uptime.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze CMP equipment data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and ensure consistent process stability.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on AMAT and Ebara CMP tools, demonstrating a strong understanding of mechanical, Pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, executing corrective maintenance and repairs - requiring hands-on expertise - to minimize unscheduled downtime and impact to production.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing equipment improvements and modifications to enhance process capability and yield, under the guidance of engineering.
  • Troubleshoot CMP process challenges related to uniformity, defectivity, and rate control, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction projects, supporting a safe and efficient work environment.
