About The Position

This role involves designing and developing test software solutions for production testing in collaboration with hardware, software, and program engineers. The position requires implementing system software engineering best practices for planning, development, and execution, adhering to scope, schedule, and budget. It also involves providing hands-on support for product testing in an engineering test environment and sharing knowledge with team members. The engineer will support the Section Manager in achieving the RF Technologies department goals.

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Strong programming experience in C/C++/C#, or equivalent
• Knowledge of RF measurements
• Experience with Configuration Management tools
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

• Critical thinking, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Experience in executing projects through the software development life cycle
• Experience with various programming languages, operating systems, system monitoring tools, and communication protocols
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Sourcetree, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments
• Experience in successfully developing and deploying test software solutions in C#, CVI, C, and/or C++, with experience in using code review tools and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in automating RF test equipment control (e.g. vector network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
• Experience in creating test plans and sequences for RF measurements using NI Test Suite

Responsibilities

• Work with hardware, software, and program engineers to design and develop test software solutions for production testing
• Implement system software engineering best practices in planning, development, and execution of scope, schedule, and budget
• Implement best practice standards regarding the planning, coordination, and execution of design activities with sound engineering process discipline and leadership
• Effectively communicate technical information in formal design review settings
• Provide hands-on support to product testing within an engineering test environment
• Share knowledge and provide mentoring to other engineers on the team
• Support the Section Manager in the execution of the RF Technologies department goals
