About The Position

Lynk is seeking an RF Systems Technical Project Manager to oversee technology development projects for their satellites and wireless payloads. This role involves managing projects from inception to completion, aligning with Lynk's Technology Roadmap. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial and capable of driving technology development efforts across the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of wireless communications, modern signals and protocols, RF system design, high-speed digital design, COTS component integration, and software/hardware development. The role demands an individual who can both architect future technologies and establish execution plans for strategic initiatives involving cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or better in science, engineering, or relevant technical field from an accredited university.
  • 10+ years of industry experience.
  • 3+ years in a Technical Project Management role.
  • Technical understanding of and experience working on RF System development projects, including RFFE design and test, antenna design and test, and digital beamforming system design and test (e.g., beamformers).
  • Knowledge and understanding of processes, tools, and metrics essential for project monitoring and control and risk management.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident (green card holder), a refugee, or an asylee, or eligible to obtain necessary U.S. Department of State authorizations due to ITAR requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master Degree in a relevant technical field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Lead or Project Manager working in the RF domain is a plus.
  • Exposure to government programs and a current active security clearance is a plus.
  • Experience transitioning technologies from a design concept to a functioning product is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple RF systems projects from concept generation through product realization for new technology development efforts in the wireless communications domain.
  • Coordinate with project sponsors and key senior team members to define and budget for new technology development efforts.
  • Work with technology leads to define projects at the task level, including task definition, duration, and interdependencies, and resource loading for measurable schedules.
  • Understand, manage, and take ownership of cost, schedule, technical performance, and risks associated with assigned efforts.
  • Serve as the primary interface to project sponsors, key senior team members, and other stakeholders regarding project status and performance.
  • Interact regularly with suppliers and subcontractors related to technology development projects.
