About The Position

Code Metal’s Advanced RF group is seeking a leader to execute programs and contribute to the technical aspects of winning new business. The role is suited to an expert in one or more of the group’s signal processing focus areas: communications, spectrum awareness (including signals intelligence, spectrum sensing, direction finding, and geolocation), electronic warfare, or radar systems. The candidate will work with the U.S. Government to develop technology for these applications, represent the group’s technology in customer meetings, and both lead and individually contribute to program work. The role also requires communicating technical information to potential customers in person and in writing.

Requirements

• Expertise in one or more of the Advanced RF group’s key focus areas: communications, spectrum awareness, electronic warfare, or radar technology.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of digital signal processing and machine learning fundamentals.
• Ability to use AI coding large language model tools in everyday work.
• Proficiency in Python for algorithm prototyping.
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain a clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree.
• Knowledge of C++, C, MATLAB, or VHDL.
• Direct experience working with the U.S. Government on technology for the listed applications.

Responsibilities

• Represent expertise in one or more Advanced RF group focus areas: communications, spectrum awareness, electronic warfare, or radar technology.
• Represent the Advanced RF group in customer meetings.
• Lead technology development on Advanced RF group programs as a team lead.
• Contribute individually to technology development on programs and pursuits.
• Write proposals to win new business.
