About The Position

Join our RF/Microwave Engineering team at Raytheon and contribute to mission-critical technologies that protect domestic and international allies. In this role, you will help design, develop, test, and manufacture cutting-edge compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits (MMICs), phased array hardware, and high-performance modules for advanced defense applications. You will support premier radar and sensing programs—such as Global Patriot Solutions and Early Warning Systems—collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary teams across all stages of integration and hardware verification.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline. Degree must be obtained by start date.
Coursework in one or more of the following: RF Circuit Design, Microwave Circuits, Electromagnetics, Antenna Engineering, Microwave Measurements, RF Engineering, Radar Signal Processing, or Radar Design.
Experience in at least one of the following technical domains: RF/Microwave Design & Measurement, Antennas & Applied Electromagnetics, or Radar Architecture & Signal Processing.
Experience building, testing, or characterizing electronic hardware, RF circuits, or antenna systems using standard test benches or measurement facilities.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on laboratory experience specific to RF/microwave device or circuit characterization using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and automated test environments.
Proficiency with RF/electromagnetic design and analysis software such as Keysight ADS, ANSYS HFSS, CST Studio Suite, Microwave Office, Cadence Virtuoso, or MATLAB.
Experience scripting and automating laboratory test equipment using Python, C++, or LabVIEW.
Demonstrated leadership experience through student organizations, research projects, or engineering team initiatives.
Strong collaborative, interpersonal, and technical communication skills working in multi-disciplinary engineering settings.

Responsibilities

Perform fixtured and on-wafer probe measurements, characterization, and assembly of RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave test setups.
Design, simulate, and analyze RF/microwave components, MMICs, and phased array module hardware.
Execute component-level and system-level integration and testing for digital, analog, and RF assemblies.
Utilize automated test instrumentation and software (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW) to control measurement systems, capture data, and evaluate test results.
Characterize devices using advanced laboratory equipment, including Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), and Performance Network Analyzers (PNAs).
Conduct circuit simulations, obsolescence trade assessments, hardware troubleshooting, and failure investigations to resolve performance issues.
Partner with systems, quality assurance, reliability, and manufacturing personnel to develop robust test solutions and optimize production workflows.
