As an RF/Microwave Design Engineer, you will be part of Keysight Labs' mm-Wave Subsystems Design Group. Our team develops industry-leading mm-wave front-end products addressing a wide range of applications, including AI/ML, 5G, 6G, Automotive Radar, and Aerospace & Defense, in close collaboration with our Centers of Excellence and Industry Solutions Groups.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field with an emphasis in RF and Microwave Design, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering, electronics, and RF/microwave principles.
  • Proficiency with microwave modeling and simulation tools, including 1D, 2.5D, and 3D electromagnetic simulators.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated creativity and ability to generate innovative technical solutions.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively leverage available resources.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in RF, microwave, or mm-wave subsystem design.
  • Proficiency with Keysight ADS, Genesys, and EMPro.
  • Experience with RF/mm-wave test and measurement equipment, including vector network analyzers (VNAs), spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and automated test systems.
  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting RF/mm-wave hardware, correlating measurement results to simulation models, and performing root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with design verification, product qualification, and transition of RF hardware into manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Help lead the architecture and definition of new products and own all phases of the RF/Microwave design process from concept through production, ensuring products meet performance, manufacturability, and reliability qualification requirements.
  • Design novel RF/Microwave signal conditioning components across a variety of cutting-edge technology platforms.
  • Develop electromagnetic models to accurately characterize complex RF and microwave subsystems.
  • Develop test plans and perform characterization, validation, and troubleshooting of RF/mm-wave designs and prototypes using advanced measurement techniques. Drive root-cause analysis and implement design improvements to ensure performance objectives are achieved.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary project team to create innovative products and ensure designs meet both internal and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external manufacturing partners to prototype designs and successfully transition them into production.
