About The Position

To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and teamoriented individual for our division Plasma Control Technologies at the San Jose site as a RF Engineering Technician. In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

Requirements

  • BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience, with approximately 5+ years of experience in working with RF devices and test equipment.
  • Knowledge of setting up, configuring and calibrating test equipment, namely VNA, impedance analyzer, power meter, spectrum analyzer, AWG, RFG, scope, etc.
  • Understanding of safety requirements when operating high-power RF equipment.
  • Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with the system under test.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment and multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with RF engineers and system design managers to perform critical testing of custom auto-match products.
  • Identify and troubleshoot product hardware/software issues found during testing and report the findings to the engineering team.
  • Compile and communicate testing results and conclusions to the project manager and the engineering team.
  • Document and maintain test procedures and test protocols and be a liaison with the production team.
  • Build system and sub-system assemblies for internal and customer use.
  • Train production and application engineers on testing new products following the R&D test procedures.
