About The Position

Motorola Solutions is seeking an RF Engineer to design, develop, and evaluate electronic components and systems for commercial and first-responder radio products. This role involves designing critical RF sub-systems, developing factory test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting manufacturing builds. The engineer will also develop test automation and support RF design and testing for various radio technologies, including BT, Wifi, LTE, and FM. Additionally, the position requires supporting regulatory filings.

Requirements

Masters degree or Bachelors degree + 2 years experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and evaluate electronic components and systems used for commercial and first-responder radio products.
Design various Radio Frequency (RF) sub-systems critical for both portable and mobile radios, including transmitter fixed and variable gain amplifiers, harmonic filters, antenna switch, and transmitter power control.
Develop and support factory test plans essential to mass production of radio products.
Work closely with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team during the prototype phase to build prototypes.
Collaborate with Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams on product development and develop intellectual property for the corporation.
Support factory builds at internal and external manufacturing sites.
Develop test automation for both sub-block and radios system level measurements to ensure products meet technical requirements.
Support RF design and testing of two-way radios, including RF circuitry (BT, Wifi, and LTE) and FM technologies.
Work with teams supporting, preparing, and submitting Regulatory filings for assigned products.
