Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of electronics, RF/microwave principles, theories, and test techniques
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Knowledge in some, or all, of the following subjects: Electromagnetics and RF/Microwave theory, RF circuit design (active and passive), RF Gain-Loss budget of cascaded RF circuits/systems, Printed circuit board layout and design, Design tools: AWR Microwave Office, HFSS, ADS

Responsibilities

  • Generate unit or lower-level requirements documents.
  • Support system and subsystem engineers to define unit or lower-level performance, interface and environmental requirements and respective verification methods
  • Develops architectures to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms
  • Performs trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements
  • Creates and validates gain-loss budgets to understand RF performance over environmental conditions, life, and part-to-part variation
  • Generate unit or lower-level test procedures
  • Defines and conducts tests to validate performance of designs to requirements
  • Provides support to products throughout lifecycle
  • Works under general direction
