About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking an RF Electronics Technician in Buffalo, NY for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. The RF Electronics Technician will test, troubleshoot, tune, and document RF products, digital circuit cards, electronic assemblies, and integrated test systems supporting advanced simulation technology. This hands-on role requires electronics knowledge, the ability to interpret technical drawings and procedures, and the precision to work on small microelectronic assemblies under a microscope.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Electronics knowledge gained through schooling, military service, or professional experience.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical procedures and drawings.
  • Ability to test and troubleshoot electronic products and assemblies.
  • Ability to analyze equipment operating characteristics and isolate malfunctions.
  • Ability to accurately document testing, troubleshooting, and production activities.
  • Ability to perform detailed work under a microscope.
  • Strong manual dexterity and precision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness requirements.
  • Ability to successfully complete required in-house workmanship training.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift onsite in Buffalo, NY.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience testing and troubleshooting RF microelectronics, amplifiers, switches, mixers, or related RF products.
  • Experience troubleshooting digital circuit cards.
  • Experience using schematics, wiring diagrams, wire lists, source-control drawings, or test procedures.
  • Experience performing RF tuning under a microscope.
  • Experience operating, maintaining, or calibrating electronic test equipment.
  • Soldering and electronic assembly experience.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of defense electronics or Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a performance-based, metrics-driven environment.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience.

Responsibilities

  • Test and troubleshoot RF products and digital circuit cards.
  • Diagnose nonconformances using drawings, procedures, and test equipment.
  • Perform RF tuning on microelectronic assemblies under a microscope.
  • Isolate malfunctions in products and integrated test systems.
  • Maintain or calibrate test equipment.
  • Interpret test findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Record test results and production data in applicable systems and records.
  • Perform electronic and mechanical production assembly tasks.
  • Assist engineers and supervisors with test-procedure development or modification.
  • Maintain a safe, ESD-controlled, FOD-compliant work area.
