About The Position

The Defense group at Leidos currently has an opening for an RF Design/Integration Engineer supporting the Threat Sensors portfolio in Huntsville, AL. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in RF and electrical design for advanced RF systems that provide critical information to customers. Primary Responsibilities: The successful candidate will design, build, and integrate RF hardware and systems, develop algorithms, and conduct systems analysis across a variety of research, development, and operational tasks. The candidate will evaluate, select, integrate, and test commercial off the shelf (COTS) RF devices for forming complex RF transceiver systems. The ideal candidate will have an interest in supporting the full product life cycle from concept through prototype to production.

Requirements

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience (degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar). Additional experience, education, or training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Requires a current DoD Top Secret clearance to be considered (U.S. Citizenship is required).
  • Proficiency with RF link budgets and cascade analysis.
  • Experience in RF hardware design, including circuit/system design and component selection.
  • Experience with system testing using RF test equipment (Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Must be willing and able to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations (up to 25%).
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Huntsville Alabama.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wideband RF systems.
  • Experience testing RF PCB assemblies.
  • Proficiency with soldering iron.
  • Experience with the repair and maintenance of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI.
