About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced RF Design Engineer to provide end-to-end design, analysis, optimization, and validation of advanced wireless communication systems, with a focus on 4G LTE and 5G architectures. This role combines RF engineering expertise, in-building and outdoor system design, and field validation to support high-performance network deployments for enterprise and carrier environments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with RF design tools, test equipment, and system level understanding of 5G networks, including EPC core integration and real-world validation through CW and drive testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in RF engineering, preferably in wireless telecom environments
  • Hands-on experience designing and optimizing 4G LTE and 5G networks
  • Understanding of networking concepts and electrical wiring principles.
  • Proven experience with telecommunications network gear and connectivity.
  • Ability to work independently in diverse environments and travel as needed.
  • Strong proficiency in RF engineering principles, including propagation, interference, and link budget analysis
  • Hands-on experience with: Viavi CellAdvisor and/or OneAdvisor, RF power meters and signal generators
  • Ability to create training material and provide training to customers, clients, and internal employees.
  • Ability to create documentation – Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Method of Procedure (MOP), Policy Guidelines, and other documentation as required.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during the installation or maintenance process. Strong troubleshooting skills and the capacity to think critically to overcome challenges effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to work, ensuring accurate maintenance, replacement, installation, proper alignment, and secure mounting of equipment components. Ability to follow technical drawings, diagrams, and installation instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF solutions for 4G LTE and 5G networks, including macro, small cell, and in-building (DAS) systems
  • Perform RF link budget analysis to ensure system performance meets coverage and capacity requirements
  • Develop and validate RF system architectures aligned with 5G NR standards and deployment scenarios
  • Produce detailed RF design documentation, including system schematics, propagation models, and performance forecasts
  • Utilize IBwave, Atoll, or Eino for in-building wireless design, modeling, and optimization
  • Perform heat mapping and RF propagation analysis for coverage planning and design validation
  • Conduct predictive modeling and post-deployment optimization for signal strength, interference, and capacity
  • Execute CW (Continuous Wave) testing and validation to confirm RF design performance
  • Perform blind scan testing to identify signal profiles and validate frequency usage
  • Utilize RF test equipment including: Viavi CellAdvisor / OneAdvisor, RF power meters, RF signal generators
  • Conduct field measurements and troubleshooting to optimize RF performance
  • Support integration and configuration of 5G EPC (Evolved Packet Core) elements
  • Support integration and configuration of 5G BBU/RAN system elements
  • Analyze and validate system performance across RAN and core network interfaces
  • Collaborate with network engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and handoff performance
  • Perform and analyze RF data using tools IBwave, Atoll, or Eino
  • Conduct drive testing and post-processing to evaluate coverage, throughput, latency, and interference
  • Generate reports and recommendations for network optimization and performance improvement
  • Diagnose RF performance issues including interference, signal degradation, and coverage gaps
  • Recommend corrective actions and optimization strategies to improve system reliability and quality
  • Support ongoing network tuning and performance improvement initiatives
