About The Position

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. This is a contingent position based upon contract award KBR is seeking an Intermediate level Engineering RF Analyst to plan, execute, and analyzes vulnerability tests to identify RF-DE weaknesses in mission-critical systems and operational environments. This role involves developing test plans, conducting assessments under realistic conditions, and ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational standards for RF exposure events. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate system resilience against electromagnetic effects and recommend mitigation strategies (e.g., hardening, filtering, shielding, operational constraints). Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex testing activities under time-sensitive conditions are essential. This position offers the opportunity to influence RF vulnerability testing methodologies and enhance system survivability across enterprise operations. This role is performed full-time on site at a government facility and is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise OR No degree and 10 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
  • Experience in RF vulnerability testing, electromagnetic effects (EME) analysis, or operational assessments of RF susceptibility.
  • Proficiency applying EMI/EMC concepts, RF measurement fundamentals, and test documentation/traceability practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting HIRF/HPM-related assessments, susceptibility analyses, or hardening recommendations for complex systems.
  • Experience supporting requirements traceability, configuration management, or test governance for sensitive engineering programs.
  • Experience supporting system integration activities as an operational/engineering end user (UAT, OT&E support, or tool transition).

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed RF-DE vulnerability test plans and procedures for mission-critical systems, including objectives, configurations, and measurement approaches.
  • Execute RF exposure testing in simulated and controlled environments, coordinate instrumentation, measurements, and configuration control.
  • Analyze test results to identify susceptibility pathways and system-level impacts; recommend mitigation actions and residual risk.
  • Ensure compliance with RF safety, organizational security standards, and applicable test governance during planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate findings into design improvements (e.g., shielding, grounding, filtering, cable routing, interface protection).
  • Prepare technical reports and briefings for stakeholders, documenting methods, assumptions, results, and recommended COAs.
  • Support readiness reviews, risk assessments, and lessons learned activities related to RF-DE susceptibility and resilience.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for RF vulnerability test processes, templates, and analytic tools.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers during test execution and analysis
