About The Position

The Rework Operator removes, replaces, or reflows ball-grid array (BGA) components to repair production-line assemblies. The role supports manufacturing, inspects X-rays for circuit shorts or insufficient solder, and follows Jabil repair techniques and workmanship standards. The operator also completes required logs and paperwork, handles and marks assemblies appropriately, and keeps the assigned work area clean and organized while following safety, health, and security procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to read and understand visual aids.
• Ability to calculate the quantity of parts to prepare and have ready for use.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.
• Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to handle standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Responsibilities

• Remove, replace, and reflow BGA components to support manufacturing repairs.
• Visually analyze X-rays to identify circuit shorts or insufficient solder.
• Meet or exceed Jabil workmanship standards and improve efficiency through use of the CIQ system.
• Complete daily logs and other required paperwork.
• Handle and mark assemblies properly.
• Follow Jabil repair techniques.
• Keep the assigned area clean and organized.
• Follow applicable safety and health rules and regulations, as well as company security procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
