About The Position

The Rework Operator at Hyve Solutions Corporation is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of electronic components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This role requires precision and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in electronic rework, soldering, and assembly within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in fine-pitch soldering and de-soldering techniques for SMT and through-hole components.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, assembly drawings, and rework instructions.
  • Familiarity with various electronic components, their functions, and common failure modes.
  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and visual acuity for detailed work.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and accessing work instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic production setting.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions and cleanroom procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or vocational training in electronics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspection of electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and assemblies for defects, damage, and compliance with quality specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools, soldering irons, and rework stations to remove, replace, and re-solder surface mount (SMT) and through-hole components.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of non-conforming products to identify root causes of failures.
  • Apply rework techniques such as wire modification, trace repair, and component alignment according to engineering drawings and rework instructions.
  • Operate and maintain rework equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Document rework activities, including defects found, repairs made, and time taken, in the designated system.
  • Collaborate with quality control, engineering, and production teams to address recurring issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
