About The Position

We are seeking Rework Operators for an established company in the Jacksonville, FL area who will be assembling solar panels in an environment controlled, manufacturing facility. Heavy lifting is required. This is a Temp-to-Hire position and the client offers benefits once Hired In. This is a drug-free workplace. All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and be willing to submit to a national background check.

Requirements

  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle small tools and fragile objects.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality during repetitive tasks.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment and conveyors.
  • Proficient with computers and able to input data into manufacturing systems.
  • Must be able to read and understand quality standards and defect descriptions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records of daily tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work with tools that require fine motor skills.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods while performing repairs.
  • This position may involve exposure to soldering fumes.
  • All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and be willing to submit to a national background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment is preferred.
  • Experience working with small tools and delicate materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the necessary repairs for each string/module by inspecting the product's physical condition, referencing defect locations, and analyzing the electroluminescence (EL) image where available.
  • Repair panels using tools such as mallets, scrapers, tweezers, flux pens, T eflon sheets, soldering irons, scissors, and wire cutters.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed without causing additional damage by handling materials and tools with care.
  • Perform visual and physical inspections of completed repairs, checking for defects.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the repair process.
  • Record daily repair activities.
  • Enter data accurately into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) using computers, keyboards, scanners, and other relevant technology.
  • Load and unload panels continually throughout shift - team lifts of completed panels.
  • Troubleshoot basic conveyor and equipment issues, escalating more complex problems to the equipment team as necessary.
