About The Position

This is a 2nd shift position. Hours are Monday - Friday; 2 pm - 10:30 pm. The Rewinder Operator takes a roll of fabric and rewinds it to remove a problem or break it down into smaller rolls to meet customer quality or quantity requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience as a machine operator preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and production procedures.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Rewind large rolls by threading up the machine and running rolls to customers desired lengths.
• Wrap and identify finished rolls of fabric and bundle or palletize if required.
• Tag rolls for identification.
• Rewind rolls on hold by threading up and running roll to the area of flaw, remove flaw by splicing it if required.
• Conduct quality checks on material as required.
• Assist on the Coater as necessary (wrapping rolls or other duties trained to do).
• Clean up, sweep area around the machine including the main aisle.
• Bundle and bail scrap material.
• Wear safety shoes and hearing protection at all times.
