About The Position

Abbott Label, a family-owned label manufacturing company with plants in Texas, Arizona, Georgia, and Illinois, has an immediate opening for a Rewind Operator in their fast-paced Mesa plant. This role is responsible for ensuring Rewind Machines are staged with materials and tooling for efficient workflow, running machines to complete jobs efficiently, and assisting with Quality Control in the pressroom. Additional duties may include operating a machine or assisting with maintenance needs as directed by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate various rewind machines.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent Mechanical Skills
• Punctual and Reliable.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ Years Manufacturing/Warehouse experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Rewind Machinery preferred.
• Experience in Narrow Web Printing Industry preferred.
• Vocational/technical school training preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates rewind machinery.
• Reviews client requests to understand scope and parameters of rewind jobs.
• Determines quantities required for rewind job.
• Aligns and configures machinery.
• Inspects random production samples to evaluate quality of work.
• Troubleshoots issues with rewind machine and makes basic repairs.
• Performs routine maintenance on rewind machines.
• Drafts and submits reports for daily production totals.
• Maintains a clean area around rewind machinery.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
