About The Position

The Medical Council of Canada (MCC) is seeking a Review Agent to join their talented team. This role is crucial in supporting the MCC's mission by reviewing and processing various types of documentation, including applications to candidates, for MCC examinations. The Review Agent will also provide timely follow-up communication with candidates and other stakeholders, ensuring excellent data quality. Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience providing data or information driven support, preferably in an office environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and the ability to learn and work with internal database systems.
  • Proficiency using the internet to retrieve information quickly.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct research and to elicit pertinent information from documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to be tactful and discrete.
  • Advanced oral and written skills in English.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced oral and written skills in French is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze medical credential documents submitted for source verification and exam eligibility.
  • Make decisions regarding medical credentials, translations and other documents supporting exam eligibility.
  • Follow up with candidates and external stakeholders where documents do not meet MCC’s criteria.
  • Identify complex issues/cases and perform research, gather information, documents and formulate recommendations to be reviewed in accordance with escalation processes.
  • Maintain data and document integrity, assuring superior quality of such data, information and correspondence.
  • Performs support activities associated with candidates and internal departments in answering specific candidate document and exam eligibility related inquiries.
