About The Position

Allegion is seeking an entry-level Reverse Logistics Supervisor for their Olathe, KS location. This role is ideal for recent engineering graduates looking to combine hands-on problem-solving, leadership, and supply chain management with product engineering. The supervisor will gain experience in refurbishment and returns processing, lead a small team, utilize lean tools for process improvement, and collaborate with various departments to ensure returned products are recovered safely, on time, and cost-effectively. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills from coursework, capstone projects, internships, or co-ops.
  • Strong PC skills, especially Excel; comfortable with basic data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to read and apply layered engineering drawings and BOMs and understand mechanical function.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to coach and lead others.
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing/distribution environment and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
  • Company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status.

Nice To Haves

  • Internship, co-op, or up to 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, distribution, or electronics refurbishment.
  • Experience with material management, production planning, purchasing, or cross-functional coordination.
  • Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, product, or sales teams on quality or product-change issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a refurbishment and returns-processing team to meet daily production, quality, safety, and customer-service goals.
  • Train associates to inspect, sort, troubleshoot, and diagnose returned products and determine parts/materials needed for repairs.
  • Support inventory accuracy through transactional work, audits, and coordination with procurement to resolve material outages.
  • Gather and analyze data, track KPIs, and report performance to drive continuous improvement (lean problem solving).
  • Present team status during MDI/Gemba walks and contribute to KPI and annual objective setting.
  • Manage basic workforce records (time, attendance, PTO), provide feedback, and help resolve performance or conduct issues in partnership with HR.
  • Maintain a safe, engaged, and positive work environment and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and interpreting engineering drawings/BOMs to support refurbishment work.
