About The Position

This is a Revenue Specialist III position in the General Tax Administration Program's, Receivables Management, Field Operations - Collections Process located in the Fort Myers Service Center. The incumbent contacts taxpayers to resolve tax liabilities and coordinates the filing and enforcement actions for taxes administered by the Department of Revenue. The incumbent also executes levies, garnishments, and transferee liabilities, issues subpoenas, prepares legal affidavits, performs physical asset inventories, secures legal service of documents, and recommends agency actions.

Requirements

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue within the General Tax Administration Program.
  • Nine months of experience collecting tax obligations within the General Tax Administration Program.

Nice To Haves

  • Eighteen months of experience working with accounts receivables, banking, or collections can substitute for the required nine months of experience collecting tax obligations within the General Tax Administration Program.
