Revenue Specialist I (appeals/denials)- Remote/Hybrid
About The Position
DaVita is hiring an analytically minded, team-oriented Revenue Specialist I to work with insurance payers on outstanding patient account balances. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with insurance companies, researching and resolving problem accounts, and maximizing collections to meet performance goals. Research and resolution are conducted by phone, email, and insurance carrier portals. The position is open to remote candidates; Washington candidates near Federal Way must attend onsite at the Federal Way CBO once a month. The candidate is expected to work Pacific Time hours. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to research and solve problems using analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated history of resolving challenging issues.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and DaVita’s Core Values.
- Ability to work Pacific Time hours.

- Denials and appeals experience.
- Healthcare and medical billing or collections experience.
Responsibilities
- Identify trends and perform root cause analysis on unpaid and underpaid claims.
- Research, appeal, and resolve claim rejections, underpayments, and denials with the appropriate insurance payer.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clinical personnel, teammates, and insurance representatives.
- Collect payments from insurance companies on outstanding patient balances and maximize collections to achieve collection performance goals.
- Research and resolve problem accounts as needed.
