Revenue Operations Lead

Vouch InsuranceChicago, IL
$115,000 - $135,000

About The Position

This role is for a Revenue Operations Lead embedded within Horizon, accountable for the operational integrity of the revenue lifecycle from opportunity creation through binding, servicing, and renewal. The focus is on designing and maintaining clear, consistent, and well-instrumented processes to enable a high-performing advisory team to execute without friction or ambiguity. The position involves designing and maintaining Horizon's GTM workflows and lifecycle stage model, running and preparing pipeline reviews with a focus on hygiene and consistency, and acting as an operational partner in leadership and team-level results reviews. The role also includes shadowing licensed advisors and account managers to understand ground-level process functioning, providing feedback to managers on process adherence and data quality, and contributing to the RevOps team's quarterly process improvement roadmap. A key aspect is building on and actively pushing the Salesforce FSC foundation, defining field-level rules, lifecycle stages, routing logic, and workflow states, ensuring data capture standards, and identifying opportunities for system-driven execution. The role also partners with the Director of RevOps on changes affecting business measurement or GTM team compensation. Furthermore, the position drives continuous improvement through technology and AI, experimenting with AI tools and workflow automations to eliminate friction and improve consistency, while understanding the balance between non-negotiable structure and experimentation. Operational rigor is driven across the full Horizon motion, governing handoff architecture, SLA adherence, and Product-Led / Advisory-Led tier routing rules, and coordinating with Growth Operations on top-of-funnel handoffs.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years in revenue operations, sales operations, or GTM operations.
  • Clear track record of designing and implementing processes, not just maintaining or reporting on them.
  • Experience building something in relative ambiguity (a lifecycle model, an operational standard, a workflow a team actually uses consistently).
  • Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce (objects, fields, validation rules, workflow automation).
  • Ability to write clear system requirements and review what gets built.
  • Operate as an embedded partner, not a support function.
  • Comfortable in leadership meetings and team-level reviews.
  • Direct and constructive with frontline managers.
  • Curious about technology and experimental by nature.
  • Understand how process and data are connected.
  • Familiarity with how GTM data flows from Salesforce into reporting and analytics.
  • Experience working at a startup and understanding of the pace, resources, and priorities.
  • Comfortable building where there's no playbook yet, wearing multiple hats, and making progress without waiting for perfect information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, or with a CRM migration or re-platforming.
  • Experience with advisory-led or high-touch account management motions.
  • Insurance or financial services background.
  • Exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high-growth environments.
  • A background in insurance or other regulated categories.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operational layer for Horizon's revenue lifecycle.
  • Design and maintain Horizon's GTM workflows and lifecycle stage model.
  • Run and prepare Horizon pipeline reviews, enforcing hygiene standards and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Attend Horizon leadership meetings and team-level results reviews as an active operational partner.
  • Shadow licensed advisors and account managers regularly to understand process functioning.
  • Provide direct, diagnostic, collaborative feedback to Horizon managers on process adherence, data quality gaps, and workflow breakdowns.
  • Maintain a running view of process and data-capture improvement opportunities within Horizon and contribute them to the RevOps team's quarterly process improvement roadmap.
  • Define the field-level rules, lifecycle stages, routing logic, and workflow states that accurately reflect how Horizon operates.
  • Ensure data capture standards are understood and followed so that what lives in Salesforce reflects operational reality.
  • Identify where manual processes can move toward system-driven execution.
  • Partner with the Director of RevOps on any changes to lifecycle definitions, data standards, or system configuration.
  • Actively experiment with AI tools, workflow automations, and emerging capabilities to eliminate friction, reduce manual effort, or improve consistency.
  • Govern handoff architecture and SLA adherence across the Horizon lifecycle.
  • Maintain accountability for how Product-Led / Advisory-Led tier routing rules are applied within Horizon.
  • Coordinate with Growth Operations on top-of-funnel handoffs.
