About The Position

As a Revenue Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the full revenue cycle and ensuring accurate recognition across multiple revenue streams, including subscription, hardware, and advertising. You will partner with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, implement system improvements, and maintain compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606. This position offers the opportunity to drive process automation, enhance reporting, and support scalability for expanding operations, including international initiatives. You will influence decision-making through analysis, variance investigation, and KPI reporting while providing guidance to stakeholders on complex revenue matters. The role requires a detail-oriented, analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, remote-first environment. Collaboration, technical expertise, and a focus on continuous improvement are central to success in this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field; CPA preferred; MBA or Master’s degree a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with specific focus on revenue recognition and revenue accounting
  • Experience in public company environments with SOX compliance and SEC reporting exposure
  • Strong knowledge and application of ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Collaborative team player capable of building cross-functional relationships and providing clear guidance

Responsibilities

  • Execute accurate and timely monthly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis for revenue, deferred revenue, and cost of sales accounts
  • Prepare and review revenue recognition assessments for complex contracts in accordance with ASC 606, covering performance obligations, variable consideration, and contract modifications
  • Serve as a technical resource for cross-functional teams, providing guidance on revenue accounting, systems, and processes
  • Develop KPIs, reporting, and analysis to support management decision-making and highlight trends or anomalies
  • Lead process creation, system implementations, and enhancements for new product offerings to ensure scalable revenue operations
  • Design and document revenue policies and procedures while maintaining SOX compliance and internal controls
  • Manage multiple workstreams with effective project planning, multitasking, and adherence to deadlines
  • Explore and implement automation, including AI-driven solutions, to improve revenue operations efficiency
