Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in revenue integrity, revenue cycle, or health information management in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, Epic charge and billing workflows, and hospital billing compliance.
  • Familiarity with denial management processes and payer appeal requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with billing data and identifying trends.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Mercy Medical Center's revenue integrity program by identifying, investigating, and resolving charge capture gaps, billing compliance issues, and denial trends across clinical departments.
  • Works closely with the Senior Director of Revenue Integrity and partners across Finance, Clinical Operations, and Patient Accounting to protect revenue and ensure accurate, compliant billing under Maryland's all-payer regulatory framework.
  • Proactively meets with departments to optimize charge capture.
