About The Position

The Revenue Integrity Analyst II at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) plays a critical role in ensuring accurate charge capture, compliance, and financial integrity, directly supporting MSK’s mission to end cancer for life. This role involves collaborating across clinical and financial teams to strengthen workflows and optimize revenue outcomes. The analyst will serve as a subject matter expert on charge capture and revenue integrity processes, manage Charge Description Master (CDM) reviews, and implement standardized corrective measures to improve charge workflows. They will utilize ticketing systems to manage issues, coordinate with various departments, and support departmental initiatives impacting CDM and compliance. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with revenue operations and budget teams on coding updates, evaluating Epic work/error queues, performing root cause analysis, and guiding clinical departments on correct charge capture, coding, and billing practices. Findings and recommendations will be presented to leadership and governance committees.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of charge capture, CPT/HCPCS coding, and billing compliance.
  • Proven experience collaborating with clinical, financial, and operations teams.
  • Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience analyzing and optimizing Epic charging workflows.
  • Ability to lead charge reconciliation education and training initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying workflow deficiencies and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Epic experience strongly preferred.
  • Charge capture knowledge (related to Pharmacy, Infusion, E&M billing areas) strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate workflows, error queues, and compliance risks.
  • Ability to clearly communicate findings and educate diverse stakeholders.

  • COC, CPC, or AHIMA-CCS certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert on charge capture and revenue integrity processes.
  • Manage Charge Description Master (CDM) reviews and ensure ongoing integrity.
  • Implement standardized corrective measures to improve charge workflows.
  • Use ticketing systems to intake, track, and resolve Revenue Integrity issues (charging, coding edits, CDM discrepancies), ensuring timely follow-up and clear audit trails.
  • Leverage ticket workflows and SLAs to coordinate with Coding, Billing, HIM, and Clinical teams, supporting issue prioritization, root-cause analysis, and revenue impact resolution.
  • Support departmental initiatives impacting CDM and compliance.
  • Collaborate with revenue operations and budget teams on quarterly and annual coding updates.
  • Evaluate Epic work/error queues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions.
  • Guide clinical departments on correct charge capture, coding, and billing practices.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership and governance committees.
