About The Position

Applied Medical Systems (AMS) is seeking a Revenue Cycle Support Specialist for a full-time remote position. This role is responsible for accurately correcting coding-related denials for billing in Epic, including writing appeal letters when appropriate. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical coding knowledge, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high accuracy standards. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a formal course of study in medical terminology, disease processes, anatomy and physiology.
Completion of a formal course of study in medical coding and regulatory compliance.
Coding certification through AHIMA (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CCA) or AAPC (CPC, COC, or specialty equivalent).
Advanced knowledge of medical coding rules and regulations to include, but not limited to, compliance, payer policy, CMS regulation and CCI.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Accurately correcting coding related edits and for billing in Epic.
Abstracting operative reports in 3M and/or Epic.
Ensure timely completion of patient accounts to meet established department standards and/or goals.
Maintains 95% accuracy or greater in accordance with department standards.
Attends meetings as required.
Is respectful and courteous to all people, including coworkers and clients.
Able to work independently as the job is remote.
Displays positive attitude and team spirit by being willing to assist wherever needed.
