About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Support Analyst is responsible for successful completion of assigned tasks for billing application implementations and maintenance. Tasks include billing workflow process evaluation and documentation; participation in development, building and testing of modules and/or workflows in Electronic Health Records (EHR); provide functional expertise and recommendations to optimize the design and development of systems, implementation of these changes through training and support. The Billing Systems Analyst provides ongoing support for EHR, and other Billing application systems as needed to sustain Billing operations. The job incumbent must understand, appreciate, and respect the differences within our Cascadia community. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum of three years supporting or using an EHR billing system in healthcare.
Effective communication and active listening skills.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and initiative in daily work activities
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, 42 CFR, Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, and HMO requirements
Knowledge of professional standards, ethical conduct, and accountability expectations in a healthcare environment.
Understanding of principles related to person‑centered care, safety, and well‑being.
Ability to work proactively and effectively in a team as well as independently.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands
Analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and process improvement
Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Operate computer hardware and software at a level needed to effectively perform job functions.
Must have the ability to travel to multiple locations throughout the Portland Metro area.
Must have the ability to perform CPR and properly use AED equipment.
BLS certification training will be provided within the first 60 days of hire for client-facing staff, and CPR certification training will be provided within 120 days for all other staff. Certification must remain current.

Certification in one or more of the following preferred: Epic certifications, OCHIN Epic certifications, Financial Reporting certification
Experience in one or more of the following preferred: OCHIN Epic, MMIS, Freshservice Support Management.
Behavioral Health, Primary Care, CCBHC and FQHC billing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Analyze complex business processes, workflows, data flows, system requirements, resource needs, and feasibility in collaboration with finance leadership and other stakeholders.
Design, develop, configure, and implement billing information system solutions and complex EHR modules to optimize operational efficiency and maximize use of health information systems.
Coordinate with outsourced billing agencies, internal billing staff, clinical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to support billing operations and system effectiveness.
Maintain billing information systems by providing advanced support, troubleshooting system issues, and partnering with EHR vendors to ensure optimal performance.
Lead system integration, configuration, testing, and implementation activities, including oversight of user acceptance testing and post-implementation feedback processes to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
Develop, maintain, and document system processes, procedures, and training materials; train staff on advanced EHR functionality and best practices.
Manage user access by creating, modifying, and removing system accounts in accordance with organizational policies.
Support data integrity initiatives through data review, correction, validation, imports, and ongoing reporting improvement efforts.
Configure provider records to ensure credential information is accurately transmitted to the billing clearinghouse.
Manage and coordinate required federal, state, and county reporting activities.
Represent Cascadia Health on stakeholder committees, vendor user groups, and other forums related to electronic health record and billing systems.
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for billing system modules, clinical staff credentialing configuration, and charge routing design and maintenance, ensuring accurate translation of clinical services into billing workflows and claims processing.
Comply with and implement regulations, policies, and procedures under which the department and program operate.
Assist in crisis situations as appropriate, following emergency protocols and procedures.
Understand fire regulations and evacuation procedures; participate in regular safety drills in compliance with department policies and procedures.
Document and maintain records in a manner that ensures compliance with all agency policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
Adhere to mandatory abuse reporting laws, HIPAA and 42CFR regulations requirements.
Complete annual employee training requirements on a timely basis.
Participate in all scheduled staff meetings, supervision sessions, and other departmental and agency meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
