About The Position

Supervises and monitors the daily operational functions and staff in an assigned subsection/subunit of a department. Monitor operational workflows, identify issues while focusing on quality assurance, process improvement and departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Experience in insurance revenue cycle functions (i.e. insurance billing, charge entry, registration, payment posting, reconciliation, etc..)
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Systems (EPIC)
  • Microsoft Office
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • minimum three years of equivalent work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associates and/or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Manages own assigned work queue(s).
  • Monitors daily operations of the team, assists in prioritizing daily work activities, resolving escalated issues, identify trends, address processing delays and areas for improvement.
  • Makes recommendations and provides input related to hiring, terminations, performance evaluations.
  • Informs staff of changes in policies, procedures, processes, systems, and regulatory laws and requirements.
  • Gathers department metrics and prepares reports for management review.
  • Assist in leading, developing and mentoring of staff.
