About The Position
Supervises and monitors the daily operational functions and staff in an assigned subsection/subunit of a department. Monitor operational workflows, identify issues while focusing on quality assurance, process improvement and departmental goals.
Requirements
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Experience in insurance revenue cycle functions (i.e. insurance billing, charge entry, registration, payment posting, reconciliation, etc..)
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Systems (EPIC)
- Microsoft Office
- High School Diploma or GED required
- minimum three years of equivalent work experience
Nice To Haves
- Associates and/or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Manages own assigned work queue(s).
- Monitors daily operations of the team, assists in prioritizing daily work activities, resolving escalated issues, identify trends, address processing delays and areas for improvement.
- Makes recommendations and provides input related to hiring, terminations, performance evaluations.
- Informs staff of changes in policies, procedures, processes, systems, and regulatory laws and requirements.
- Gathers department metrics and prepares reports for management review.
- Assist in leading, developing and mentoring of staff.
