PracticeCore is our high-growth Management Services Organization (MSO) delivering expert revenue cycle management and administrative services to physician practices and specialty groups across the Carolinas. As the organization scales its operational infrastructure and deepens its Epic integration, PracticeCore is investing in dedicated process improvement capacity to accelerate performance and build a culture of continuous operational excellence. Job Objective: The Revenue Cycle Process Improvement Coordinator is a critical, high-visibility role designed for an analytically rigorous, operationally curious professional who is ready to apply process engineering principles to one of healthcare's most complex and consequential domains. Reporting directly to the Head of Revenue Cycle Management, this individual will serve as the connective tissue between frontline operations, IT infrastructure, and financial leadership – translating workflow gaps and data signals into structured improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes. This is a Full-Time position.

Requirements

  • At least a High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated academic or professional foundation in process analysis, workflow design, or operations management.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to work with structured data, synthesize findings, and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce polished documentation, reports, and presentations suitable for executive audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, evolving operational environment with a high degree of ownership and follow-through.
  • Collaborative and intellectually curious professional who thrives in cross-functional settings and is energized by solving complex operational problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio or equivalent); comfort with data manipulation, basic pivot tables, and process visualization tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Process Improvement, Healthcare Administration, Industrial Engineering, or closely related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience in healthcare revenue cycle environment or RCM analytics.
  • Exposure to or coursework in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA, or other structured process improvement methodologies; Process Improvement/Quality Improvement certification a plus.
  • Familiarity with Epic or comparable EHR/practice management systems, particularly billing and workflow modules.
  • Experience producing professional SOP documentation, process maps (swim lanes, flowcharts), and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Exposure to RCM analytics platforms or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Epic reporting workbench, or similar).
  • Experience supporting a multi-practice management environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Map, audit, and redesign end-to-end revenue cycle workflows spanning patient access, charge capture, coding, billing, accounts receivable, and payment posting.
  • Conduct structured root-cause analyses on performance gaps including claim denial patterns, WQ aging, edit backlogs, and posting delays.
  • Identify redundant, manual, or error-prone steps within current-state workflows and develop future-state process designs that reduce cycle time and human error.
  • Support EHR workflow optimization efforts including work queue configuration, claim edit resolution, and remittance automation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain process performance dashboards and KPI trackers that provide real-time visibility into workflow throughput, error rates, and team productivity.
  • Translate raw operational data (WQ aging, denial rates, claim edit volumes, AR buckets) into actionable insight and executive-ready reporting.
  • Establish baseline metrics prior to improvement initiatives and track post-implementation outcomes to quantify ROI and sustain gains.
  • Leverage analytics tools and RCM platform reporting capabilities to surface trends and anomalies that inform prioritization decisions.
  • Facilitate structured working sessions, process walk-throughs, and gap analysis meetings.
  • Serve as a liaison between the RCM team and IT/Epic resources to translate operational requirements into technical workflow configurations.
  • Support onboarding and training efforts for new workflows, SOPs, and system enhancements impacting revenue cycle staff.
  • Co-author, maintain, and version-control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across key revenue cycle functions in alignment with PracticeCore SOP framework standards.
  • Apply structured improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, or equivalent) to prioritize and execute improvement projects.
  • Maintain a living improvement project log with defined scope, timelines, owners, and measurable outcomes for each active initiative.
  • Support evaluation and pilot implementation of technology-enabled RCM tools, including denial prediction, charge integrity, and prior authorization automation.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging RCM technology trends and surface relevant innovations to RCM leadership for consideration.
