About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Manager identifies patient reimbursement issues, ensures claims, denials, and appeals are processed efficiently, and resolves billing-related issues. The role oversees Revenue Cycle Department operations, including account management, communications with insurance providers, collections, cash posting, contract analysis, and billing. The manager also manages staff performance, reviews financial hardship applications, oversees hiring and training, handles billing and collections complaints, plans department workflow and staffing, and ensures diagnoses and procedures are coded correctly.

Requirements

2–3 years of experience in healthcare billing.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and medical office software.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Implement a system to ensure accurate billing information is entered into the billing system.
Supervise Revenue Cycle Department activities, including account management, communications with insurance providers, collections, cash posting, contract analysis, and billing.
Manage staff performance through regular feedback, performance reviews, and one-on-one meetings.
Review financial hardship applications.
Oversee staff hiring and training.
Manage patient complaints related to billing and collections.
Plan and structure department workflow and staffing.
Ensure diagnoses and procedures are coded correctly.
Identify patient reimbursement issues and ensure claims, denials, and appeals are processed efficiently.
Resolve billing-related issues.
