We are looking for a Data Engineer Intern to support our Data & Analytics team with a variety of data from disparate sources to provide a whole host of analytics ranging from BI reporting and dashboards to advanced analytics like retrospective and predictive models. This directly helps in measuring and improving quality of care provided to communities Tenet serves. This internship will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in data engineering in a corporate healthcare setting while you integrate knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and develop your skills in a professional setting. You will play a key role in advancing our data engineering capabilities in all facets of data i.e. ingestion, curation, orchestration, governance, and analytics to ultimately deliver the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Requirements

  • Pursuing undergraduate degree with a major in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Human Resources.
  • Prefer sophomore, junior or senior level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer application software (training will be provided if needed).
  • Must be flexible and able to work overtime when required.
  • Must be organized and work well with constant priority changes.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher.
