About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting the entire organization's revenue cycle, from front-end processes like registration and patient access to back-end functions such as billing, accounts receivable, and compliance. The analyst will be involved in designing and delivering training, monitoring key metrics, investigating issues, and collaborating with various departments and IT.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field and two (2) years of experience in healthcare.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management, such as Patient Access, Health Information Management or Patient Financial Services may be substituted in lieu of education and experience.
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare required.

Nice To Haves

  • EPIC Revenue Cycle proficiency and/or credentialed/certification preferred.
  • Experience working with formal methodology such as Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, validating, and delivering curricula and/or workflows for systems supporting registration, scheduling, document management, Epic, and cash collection.
  • Assessing ongoing competency using learning tools and methodologies.
  • Resolving system and registration-related billing errors in Epic.
  • Providing training support for all aspects of revenue cycle work processes and supporting systems.
  • Designing, developing, validating, and delivering curricula for end-user training, including comprehensive onboarding programming and ongoing revenue education, competency, and quality assessments for Revenue Cycle staff (UM, Admitting, PFS, Revenue Management, Patient Access, Pre-Arrival, and Denials Recovery).
  • Reviewing accounts, monitoring AR days, and analyzing quality assurance/productivity metrics.
  • Investigating process or system hiccups when spikes occur in AR days or billing.
  • Collaborating closely with clinical and revenue cycle operations.
  • Acting as a liaison to IT for upgrades, maintenance, and support items (payers, plans, charges).
  • Participating in projects as a resource, handling documentation, workflow testing, and education.
