About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Revenue Cycle (or designee), the Revenue Cycle Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to the Business Office team. This role supports billing operations, document management, and general office functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of patient financial information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of general office or clerical experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
  • Effective communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Print and submit paper claims and supporting medical records to payors via U.S. Mail, as needed
  • Ensure all required documentation is attached to claims for insurance processing
  • Document all billing-related activity in the patient account system for tracking purposes
  • Provide patient insurance information to external physician offices upon request
  • Assist with special billing projects and regulatory initiatives
  • Retrieve Remittance Advice (RA) and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to support secondary billing
  • Compile supporting documentation for audits and special projects
  • Open, sort, and prioritize incoming mail
  • Scan and upload correspondence into patient accounts
  • Distribute original documents to appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Answer incoming calls and assist callers within scope of role
  • Provide clerical support to all Business Office team members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned consistent with skills and abilities
