About The Position

The Revenue Auditor is responsible for auditing the accounting and financial data of various departments within the organization to ensure accuracy and compliance with government guidelines and laws. This role involves identifying improper accounting or documentation, auditing daily records of revenue-generating departments to determine compliance with gaming regulations and company policies, and preparing accounting records and reports. The position also requires maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor with departments and guests, upholding the company's mission and values, and researching issues to recommend improvements. Collaboration with outside auditors is also a key aspect of this role, as is maintaining knowledge of property information.

  • Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.
  • Working knowledge of casino internal controls and systems required.
  • Ability to use a ten key calculator by touch with considerable accuracy.
  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities and schedules.
  • Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Must know and comply with requirements of State and Company internal controls and regulations.
  • Must possess basic computer skills. Must have knowledge of internet software, spreadsheet software and Word Processing Software.

Responsibilities

  • Audits the accounting and financial data of various departments within the organization to ensure accuracy and compliance with government guidelines and laws.
  • Identifies improper accounting or documentation.
  • Audits daily records of assigned revenue-generating departments to determine compliance with gaming regulations and company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Prepares manual and computer accounting records and reports.
  • Displays courteous and professional image to associated departments and guests.
  • Upholds the Mission Statement.
  • Represents Hard Rock Biloxi in the most positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors.
  • Lives by the Hard Rock Values!
  • Researches issues and makes recommendations to improve policies and procedures.
  • Works with outside auditors to help reconcile discrepancies or support the external auditing functions.
  • Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.
