SUMMARY: The Revenue Audit Supervisor oversees a team of Senior Revenue Auditors and Revenue Auditors to track the cash flow of the Casino gaming and non-gaming revenue sources, to ensure that assets are protected through appropriate control measures, and to verify that financial records meet legal and minimum internal control standards (MICS).

Requirements

  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Bachelor’s degree in other fields may be considered if it demonstrates qualification for the job.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Three years experience in auditing or accounting required.
  • Casino finance experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain a Coeur d’Alene tribal gaming license.
  • Must have strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), audit theories, and internal controls.
  • Need to have a keen eye for detail, a strong ability to work under pressure, and a knack for problem solving.
  • Possess leadership skills such as motivating, developing, directing, and managing a small team of auditors to complete tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Have an understanding of domestic and foreign tax withholding and reporting requirements.
  • Must be highly organized with a high level of professional skepticism.
  • Must be able to demonstrate intermediate level of Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily accounting close of gaming machines and machine drops along with non-gaming revenues.
  • Supervise the daily audit of gaming revenue and gaming payouts along with non-gaming revenues including hotel, food and beverage, retail, spa, and golf course.
  • Responsible for machines and bingo performance analysis and reporting per MICS requirements.
  • Responsible for gambling winning tax withholding reporting.
  • Supervise the tracking of employee tips, shortages/overages, comp reporting, progressive liability tracking, and customer point adjustments.
  • Ensure confidentiality and safety of all work product, while maintaining appropriate record retention.
  • Investigate customer issues and work for resolution as it pertains to revenue audit.
  • Control and track security paper and gift certificates.
  • Other duties that are related to the revenue audit function.
