Revenue Accounting Manager
About The Position
Oversee the accounting and operational activities for several key revenue streams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls and financial regulations (including SOX). Drive the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), enabling team scalability and knowledge transfer. Partner with business units to explain the financial impact of proposed transactions and support financial decision-making. Collaborate with finance and data teams to streamlined data sources to reduce time to insight and anomaly detection. Champion and implement automation and AI initiatives to streamline processes, upskill the team, and ensure efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an operational accounting role, including work within a publicly traded company environment.
- Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, and revenue recognition under ASC 606 and GAAP.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret large, complex datasets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification preferred.
- Prior experience managing or mentoring a team.
- Experience with Workday ERP.
