About The Position

We are looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our Corporate-Finance team in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Accounting, you will be an important part of our team, assisting in the effective operations of our property management offices, while providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • University degree or College diploma
  • Familiarity with the Social Justice Tribunals of Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board process (i.e. the issuance of N4s, N1s, L1s, etc,)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Self-motivated, professional, flexible; able to work both independently and with a team

Nice To Haves

  • Prior property revenue/receivables experience considered an asset
  • Yardi (real-estate software) experience is considered an asset
  • Bilingual in French is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Create and post with accuracy monthly rent roll
  • Ensure all monthly financial and management reporting reflect rent charges accurately
  • Ensure terminations, new leases, and renewals are processed in a timely manner.
  • Setting up and reviewing EFT processing and bank reconciliations.
  • Coordination of the vacancy and leasing reports with operational staff
  • Sending Accounts Receivable reporting to operational staff
  • Sending collection invoices and notices to the tenants if applicable
  • Sending out the remittances from the Direct Deposit bank account
  • AR Email – reviewing and replying emails while taking action with deposits
  • Prepare monthly tenant notices as necessary and within regulatory deadlines
  • Assisting in monthly budget variance analysis while it relates to revenue
  • Assisting with auditor requirements (financial statement and government audits)
  • Undertake ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned
