About The Position

ElevenLabs is hiring a Revenue Accountant to support its revenue accounting function across a complex and evolving revenue model that includes enterprise contracts, self-serve API subscriptions, usage-based billing, and expanding international markets. The role owns significant portions of the monthly revenue close, applies established ASC 606 guidance to customer arrangements, and helps build scalable processes and controls as the company grows toward IPO readiness. The Revenue Accountant will work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Billing Operations, Engineering, and FP&A on contract review, usage and billing completeness, new product launches, and timely, accurate revenue recognition. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role in a lean Finance team, requiring independent ownership of recurring workstreams, early identification of issues, and contributions to scaling the revenue accounting operating model. The role is remote-first and can be performed from anywhere in Central Europe or the Eastern United States time zones. Employees may also work from the company’s offices in London, New York, or Warsaw.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in ASC 606, including multi-element arrangements, SSP evaluation, variable consideration, contract modifications, and principal-versus-agent analysis.
  • Experience leading the revenue close, including deferred revenue management, unbilled receivables, journal entry review, and month-end flux analysis.
  • Track record of partnering with Sales and Legal on contract review and revenue impact assessments.
  • Experience in a pre-IPO or public company environment, with direct exposure to external audit, controls build-out, and revenue accounting documentation.
  • Active CPA, ACA, or ACCA qualification.
  • Strong systems proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Big 4 or public accounting background.
  • Experience with Stripe, Metronome, HubiFi, or a comparable revenue recognition tool.
  • Experience with consumption- or usage-based and subscription billing models.
  • Familiarity with ASC 326 (CECL) and accounts receivable accounting in a high-volume SaaS context.
  • Multi-entity or international revenue accounting background.

Responsibilities

  • Execute significant portions of the monthly revenue close, including journal entries, deferred and unbilled revenue schedules, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
  • Perform recurring usage and consumption completeness checks and billing-to-GL reconciliations; investigate exceptions and drive resolution with cross-functional partners.
  • Review customer contracts and apply established ASC 606 guidance to standard arrangements; escalate novel, high-judgment, or precedent-setting matters.
  • Support accounting for credits, refunds, contract modifications, cutoff, and variable consideration, with clear, audit-ready documentation.
  • Prepare revenue workpapers, audit support, and control evidence; support external audits, walkthroughs, and SOX readiness activities.
  • Support accounting readiness and UAT for new products, pricing structures, billing models, and partner or channel launches.
  • Improve and automate recurring revenue processes, reconciliations, documentation, and exception reporting as the business scales.

Benefits

  • Annual discretionary professional development stipend.
  • Annual discretionary stipend to meet with colleagues.
  • Annual company offsite.
  • Monthly co-working stipend for employees not located near a main hub.
