Pinterest is looking to add a highly skilled and motivated Revenue Accountant to join our dynamic Revenue Accounting team. As a Revenue Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing strategic insights for our company's continued growth and success.

Requirements

  • Big 4 accounting firm (or similar) experience.
  • 3+ years of Revenue accounting experience, in a technology or high-growth company operating in a SOX environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and the proven ability to research technical accounting topics.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606.
  • Experience with Oracle R12, Salesforce.com or similar systems.
  • A master of details who can also understand the big picture.
  • Strong Excel skills, big plus if savvy with Tableau or other BI tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical issues into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and balance technical rigor with operational practicality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee deferred revenue accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Partner with stakeholder teams to ensure data relied upon for revenue accounting is accurate/complete.
  • Execute compliance with internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Support external audits by providing accurate and timely information.
  • Drive process improvements and automations within Revenue Operations to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Leverage AI-driven analytics and automation tools to streamline reconciliations, and improve the accuracy and scalability of deferred revenue accounting processes.
  • Perform special projects, as needed to support our rapid growth.
