About The Position

The Tactical Radars and Effectors department within Raytheon Hardware Engineering supports the development, production, and deployment of multiple defense products including radars, missiles, command and control systems, and naval electronics. The products support US Government and international customers. This position is for the Fullerton, CA site and is expected to be an onsite role. Requirements

  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their senior year by the start of Summer 2026
  • Must be pursuing as bachelor’s or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Experience with CREO or comparable CAD software
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Application of mechanical engineering fundamentals to challenging design problems
  • Creation or updates of technical documentation packages
  • Complete drawing designs as required, operates engineering software and equipment, and confers with stakeholders regarding engineering projects
  • Collaboration with hardware engineering teams
  • Technical research
  • Mechanical engineering design utilizing CAD software
  • Support to manufacturing and production
  • Application of Raytheon hardware design processes and tools
