About The Position

Nicholas Pension Consultants is a growing third-party pension administration and consulting firm specializing in quality 401(k) pension plan administration. We are seeking individuals to join our thriving office environment in Rancho Cordova, CA. This position serves as an entry point into the retirement industry, offering a clear career path, a collaborative team setting, and a formal training program. Administrative Associates, also known as Associates or Accounting Assistants, support our Administrators in guiding clients through the annual retirement plan administration cycle. With training, Associates are prepared for promotion to manage their own clients, typically within 1-2 years. Upon mastering the Administrator role, various career advancement opportunities become available, including Senior Administrator, Compliance Administrator, and Team Lead positions.

Requirements

• Aptitude toward math and accounting
• Minimum 2 years professional office experience
• Desire to take ownership of the position and put in hard work
• Team-oriented personality with the ability to also work independently
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Correspond with clients over phone and email
• Collecting payroll data and investment statements from clients
• Balancing the payroll data against investment statements
• Calculating the employer matching and profit sharing contributions
• Preparing the 5500 tax filing form
